Exploring!

After going back to Taipei from Taichung, we decided to go somewhere which was near to where we were, thus we went to Xi Men Ding (西门町). My main reason for wanting to go to 西门町 was to find the Modern Toilet Restaurant! We chanced upon it in Hong Kong before, but didnt get the chance to go, so I really wanted to take a look at it this time round.  Reached 西门 station which was only one stop away from Taipei Main Station.  This is the 西门红楼.  Looked a little like Japan here... To get to the Modern Toilet Restaurant, you can try to follow these instructions after reaching 西门 station: 1.   Head  north  on  中華路一段/ 台3線  toward 成都路/ 104縣道 6 m 2.   Turn left onto  成都路/ 104縣道 250 m 3.   Turn right onto  西寧南路 170 m 4.   Turn left onto  西寧南路50巷 58 m Lane 50, Xiníng South Rd, Wanhua District Taipei City, Taiwan 108 The exact location is 2F, No 7, Lane ...

The next 1.5 days was spent in Taichung, we didn't book our train tickets in advance but luckily for us there were still seats available. If you want, you could also book tickets online at this site:  http://railway.hinet.net/net_eng.htm   This site would also be useful for you to check the timings of the trains to your desired destination, so that you do not show up at the ticket counter realizing that the next train is a few hours away:  http://www.railway.gov.tw/en/ We chose to take the High Speed Rail to Taichung, which was faster but more expensive than taking the rail.  Bought some food for breakfast from the convenience store.  Arrived at the Taichung High Speed Rail station, and walked to the Xin Wu Ri (新乌日) station which was literally just beside it, to take our train to the Taichung Railway Station.
